Important Notice: Change to Our Clinical IT System
We will be upgrading our clinical IT system between 07/04/2026 and 17/04/2026.
During this period, there may be some temporary disruption to certain services while we safely transfer and update patient records. We appreciate your patience and understanding while this essential work is carried out to improve our services.
What You Need to Do
Check Your Contact Details
Please ensure that your contact information, including your email address and telephone number, is up to date.
If your details have changed, please inform our reception team as soon as possible.
Order Repeat Prescriptions in Advance
If you are likely to require repeat medication during the changeover period, please ensure that your prescription is ordered no later than 01/04/2026.
We cannot guarantee the immediate processing of repeat prescriptions during the system transition, so ordering in advance will help prevent any disruption to your medication.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your continued cooperation and understanding.
If you have any questions, please contact our reception team who will be happy to assist you.
For your repeat prescription order will be issued with a slip of paper attached to your prescription. This should be returned to the surgery when you need further medication after ticking the items you require. If there are items on your repeat prescription you no longer take please inform the receptionist and these will be removed.
Repeat prescriptions are either to be posted (with SAE) for return or brought to the reception desk before 11.00am to be collected after 3.30pm 48 hours later.
The practice is constantly monitoring and reviewing all prescribed medication in line with current guidelines Patients may find they are being prescribed medication by brand/trade names. The practice is changing these medications to medical/generic names, these are exactly the same medications, but may be in different packaging. This change of medication is inline with local Health Board Guidelines.
For Acute Medication that you have received before but is not on your repeat prescription you will be asked to complete an Medication Request Form out on reception desk. If your request for a acute medication is declined it will be for your own medical safety. Medication for a new illness is likely to be refused until you are assessed by a clinician.
Prescriptions take 48hrs to process, if you need your prescriptions sooner and have exceptional circumstances please let reception know and it will be taken into account. If you have difficulty coming to the surgery, your local pharmacy, with your consent, will order your repeat prescription request and pick up your prescription. You can then collect your prescription from your chosen pharmacy, or set up with them a delivery service.
You may also order your repeat medication on line via the NHS Wales App.
